Licensees Licensing is a contractual agreement whereby an organization grants another entity the commercial right to use its trademarked or registered logos and terminology, in return for a fee, which includes an advanced royalty and quarterly payments. The royalty is usually based on the quantity of the product sold at wholesale value. A SLOC licensee has the right to use Olympic-related designations on its product(s) for retail sale. Only official licensees are authorized to manufacture and sell products relating to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
