This horse trial proved to be the most challenging course faced to date. Not only were the lower level competitors confused and picked off one by one by this demanding course, but we saw many of the upper level advanced riders having equal trouble making the time

Dressage was less than we had hoped for but a clean stadium round helped move Ashley up into ribbon territory.

However, it was soon obvious that the cross country time was going to prove VERY hard to make. A long 2000 meter course, it had to be ridden perfectly from beginning to end to make the 400mpm given the difficulty of the jumps and the number of questions asked.

Ashley & Tuxedo met the challenge & rode the course superbly! They crossed the finish line w/only seconds to spare with a clean round. Ashley & Tuxedo were only 1 of 3 competitors who were able to post double clear rounds on both the stadium and cross country portions of the trial. This earned this a 3rd place finish out of 24 competitors!
