What's Going on w/the Olympics
Been a bit of while since I've had an opinion. And, if you believe that, please see my ebay sales & bid high & often.
So what's been happening around the Olympic world.
Saw where some have said if there are anymore terrorist activities, then they want to seek cancellation of the 2002 SLC games. RIGHT...I'm sure that's going to give Osama Bin Laden pause for thought. "Gosh, guess I'd best lay off the U.S. until SLC is over."
And the pin frenzy will start to pick up shortly as the games come nearer. Look for the opposite of WalMart's falling prices. Unless the economy gets REALLY bad, then we might actually see them stay in an orbit lower than the space station.
Many of us recently got a good howl from a thread posted on a particular pintrading group. Seems one guy had purchased a pin from another during the height of the Sydney pin hysteria at a large price. Now that the price had fallen, he wanted to send it back for a refund. Uh, DUH! It doesn't work that way! ANOTHER beware to those who just HAVE to have the latest pin. WAIT...6 months after SLC, you can buy most any pin you want for a reasonble price. A year later, people will GIVE you the stupid pin just to get it out of their house.
Not much word from the Athens front. Who the heck knows if it's going forward, backward or at all. And if SLC is concerned about safety issues...geez, what can be expect from Athens? Right there close to the activity. Think Athens just went off my list of "must see".
So, the 2012 list has included a few US cities on it..congrats to them! Let's hope by 2012, we won't be having such safety issues.
